01 What This Site Is

VerbosAI (operated under the Syntaxis brand at verbos.ai) is a personal knowledge operating system and professional services site operated by Chris Straley, a sole practitioner based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The site is not a commercial data platform. Data collection is limited to what is functionally necessary.

02 Data We Collect

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, organization, technical environment, and a description of your problem. This information is used solely to evaluate and respond to potential engagements. It is not used for marketing and you will not be added to any mailing list.

Site analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint devices, and does not identify individual visitors. It measures aggregate page views and referrer data only.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment information, device identifiers, location data, or any personal information beyond what is listed above. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

03 How We Use Your Information

Contact form submissions are used only to review your inquiry and respond via email, determine whether the engagement is a good fit, and retain a record of inbound contact for business continuity. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the engagement inquiry.

04 Data Storage & Processors

This site is hosted by Vercel, Inc. (US). Contact form submissions are processed and delivered via Resend (US), an email delivery service. Resend may retain message metadata in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Client data for Syntaxis-managed business clients is stored separately in Supabase (Postgres + RLS) and is not accessible to public visitors of this site. It is governed by individual service agreements.

No personal data from this site is shared with data brokers, advertisers, or any party not listed above.

05 Cookies

This site does not set cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. Session cookies may be set by the authentication system for operator-only protected routes. These are functional and are not used for tracking.

06 Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained as long as they are relevant to an active or prospective engagement. Submissions for engagements that did not proceed are deleted within 12 months of the last contact. You may request deletion at any time — see Section 7.

07 Indiana CDPA & Your Rights

The Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (IC 24-15, effective January 1, 2026) grants Indiana residents certain rights over their personal data. Regardless of your state of residence, we honor the following requests:

• Access — You may request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — You may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — You may request that we delete your data. We will do so within 30 days.
• Portability — You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of sale — We do not sell personal data. No opt-out is required.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly at the address in Section 9. We will respond within 30 days.

08 Children's Privacy

This site is intended for professional and business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

09 Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
